How to improve your mood!
Ever felt like you’ve woken up on the wrong side of the bed? This is completely normal but very annoying, and can really set up the day in a negative light. Next time you get this, or just want to help with mood, try some of these steps:
Get outside: even walking for 10-20 minutes helps to produce endorphins that will naturally lift your mood – also just taking in the fresh air and sunshine (when it’s here!) can make anyone feel better!
Eat well: avoid processed foods, sugar, and alcohol – and stock up on fruits and veggies, wholegrains, and plenty of lean protein. By increasing the levels of vitamins and minerals in our body and decreasing foods and drink that make us feel sluggish is one of the best ways to stay in a good mood. Remember junk food is just that – junk!
Get clearing: clean space = clean mind! By clearing and organising your cupboards, cleaning your space, and organising yourself – it really helps you feel good and is a great feeling of achievement, plus it makes it so much easier when it comes to finding what you need!
Laughing: a lot of us know some funny videos on YouTube (my personal favourite – Thug Cat, you’ll thank me later), but we also have a Pun Calender that we read everyday to our team. Just a little laugh and a chuckle really helps to lift our mood! Buy a funny day by day calender, look up some memes, watch You’ve Been Framed, anything to give you a good laugh!
Sleep: getting 8 hours of sleep can really help to keep you feeling good, avoid caffeine and TV and make sure to get yourself into a routine and get to bed on time.
Get adjusted: chiropractic adjustments can help you move better, feel better, and reduce pain, all of which can really help our mood. We also have some really good coffee (we heard this helps too).
