Wimborne Wellness Centre's Procedures for care during Covid-19

We are planning to open on the 11th May, and therefore wanted to share all the procedures that we had in place to operate under a safe and clean environment. We welcome any questions that you may have, and we are looking forward to (hopefully) seeing you fairly soon.

1.         Cleaning: Deep professional clean to be executed by cleaning company 2-3 x a week. General surfaces (tables, chairs, door handles etc) to be cleaned 2-3x per shift by the CA on shift. Patient contact areas (chiropractic benches for example) to be cleaned before and after every single patient. Deep clean at end of every day by CA or chiropractor on shift.

2.         Cleaning products: Clinell wipes for benches, bleach for floor, Zoflora for general surfaces

3.         Safety procedures:

a.          Perspex screen at front desk with hatch for payment

b.         Patients to stay in cars until their appointment time

c.          Seating and table only available to patients who need to fill out any forms

d.         If chiropractor is running late, the CA will inform any patients waiting in their car so they don’t have to wait in the clinic

e.          Spacing out patient appointments to allow time to clean between patients and allow social distancing

f.            Encourage ApplePay, Contactless, or Direct Debit payments to limit use of card machine where possible

g.          Floor marking to show line of flow for patients in and out of chiropractic rooms

h.         Anti-viral hand sanitisers available for patients to use

i.             Patients to only use W/C facilities if absolutely necessary

j.             Requesting patients with any symptoms to keep home and reschedule any appointments for 2 weeks later

k.          Until further governing advice: to pause massages until deemed safe to proceed with them

l.             No tea/coffee or biscuits

m.      Keep the front door open to stop contact with handle, or if the weather is bad, wipe down the door handle 2-3 x throughout the day and encourage hand sanitiser use (provided by us)

4.         PPE – all chiropractors to wear:

a.          Disposable medical apron

b.         Visor

c.          Grade II certified surgical mask

d.         Latex or latex free gloves dependant on allergies of patient

5.         Patients in courses of care:

a.          To be reassessed – if further care is felt necessary by chiropractor, due to delay by lockdown, then further care is to be provided for no extra charge

6.         Wellbeing patients:

a.          If new complaint has developed – to be reassessed when in for adjustment

b.         Full direct debits to be resumed once massage can start – any credit on patient’s accounts to be used first

7.         New Patients/Result Sessions

a.          New Patients & Results Session patients will be contacted to confirm appointments

8.         Patients self isolating but requiring advice or care:

a.          Offer Skype consultation to assess situation and offer advice

b.         If desperately needs to be seen, appointment to be arranged outside of clinic times

9.         WWC to continually reassess situation and risk assess periodically
